A Day in the Life: High School Social Work

BCSSW grad Chris Dougherty (MSW ’97) has spent the last 18 years working at his alma mater Archbishop Molloy High School in Queens, N.Y. As Chairperson of Guidance, Chris serves as a role model, leader, and advisor to Molloy’s student body; the school was one of the first high schools nationwide to implement a counseling program for its students. All sophomores at the school are required to take part in peer advisory groups.

Recently, Chris was featured in a video from Oxford University Press entitled “A Day in the Life: High School Social Work,” which chronicles his role at Archbishop Molloy.
