We are delighted to announce the launch of our school blog Innovate@BCSocialWork, an interactive space designed to serve those who are committed to social justice. The blog isn’t only for students, alumni, and faculty of the Boston College School of Social Work, it’s for anyone seeking to engage in an intellectual forum about how to make transformation happen.
Diverse Voices Form Our Community
Our goal is to build a community of people who care about the study of social work in higher education, while highlighting social work practice and research taking place both within, and beyond, our campus walls. At Innovate@BCSocialWork, you’ll hear from a variety of voices, including students, alumni, faculty, researchers, and leaders in practice.
Check Out Our Inaugural Posts
This summer, so much happened that we decided we’d go ahead and start blogging. We’d love to share a few of our initial entries with you:
- Read an Op-Ed from Dean of Research David Takeuchi on the FIRST Act.
- Hear from Law School Dean Vincent Rougeau on 50 years of the Civil Rights Act.
- Learn about a recent Kennedy Forum panel on mental illness and substance abuse moderated by Associate Professor Marylou Sudders, the former Massachusetts Commissioner of Mental Health.
